“I wrote this core part myself, by hand, because it's very important. One of the few places where I wrote the code myself. And you say vibe-coded products are crap.”

Editor's note: The founder, who posts as Pavlenko and lists Serbia as his location, writes in Russian; the quote is our translation. He wrote it after finding a seven-month-old bug in the spaced-repetition logic, the one part of VibeLing he says he coded by hand, which implies the rest was built with AI. He doesn't name the coding tool he used for the app itself; elsewhere he uses Claude Code for Reddit automation and for a language tutor that adds words to VibeLing over MCP. He also added ruble payments on Android through YooKassa. His X bio links vibeling.app, and TrustMRR links the listing to the same account.

How they got customers

Reddit is his main described channel: he joins language-learning subreddits as a helpful member and mentions VibeLing sparingly, and he automated the commenting with Claude Code using a persona built from his own backstory. He also builds in public on X, a Telegram channel and Habr. A recent MCP server lets people connect VibeLing to Claude Code or ChatGPT, which he says brought $200 in a day. The app is free, in 15 languages, with a paid subscription.

Steps to try

  1. Hand-write the one part that must be right (here, the spaced-repetition logic) and let AI build the rest; even then, test it.

  2. Be a useful member of niche subreddits first and mention your product only in passing.

  3. Add an MCP server so AI assistants can feed your app; he says it made $200 in a day.

  4. Offer local payment methods where app stores block them; he added ruble payments on Android.

  5. A free app with a subscription can grow slowly for months before it pays: revenue went from about $23 to $855 a month in a year.
