“An app I vibe coded just crossed $1000 in all time revenue! Earned me almost a year's worth of Claude Max!! PS: Scribbble :)”

Kushagra Gour (founder) on X, Aug 12, 2026

Editor's note: Kushagra Gour is an experienced web developer (he also runs CSSBattle), not a beginner. He calls Scribbble an app he vibe coded, and in a reply that links scribbble.app he wrote: "Yes, I am a dev. I know whats happening, but no idea how. Hence, vibe coded." He doesn't name the tool for Scribbble itself; we list Claude Code because in August 2025, a few weeks before Scribbble launched, he wrote that he was relying only on Claude Code after cancelling Cursor, and he says the app's revenue paid for his Claude Max plan. His X bio links his projects and TrustMRR links the listing to the same account. This is a small case. The quote is lightly cleaned up from his X post of Aug 12, 2026.

How they got customers

Sales started to pick up after he began doing SEO in April 2026; he says Scribbble appears in Google's AI results. He has also launched it on SaasHunt, Peerlist and Product Hunt and posts updates on X.

Steps to try

  1. Build a small, focused Mac utility: draw over any app during a screen share.

  2. Launch with a low price that goes up by a dollar every 10 sales.

  3. Do SEO once sales stall; he says sales picked up within a month.

  4. Keep shipping features customers ask for and relaunch on directories and Product Hunt.

  5. Be patient with one-time sales: it took about seven months to reach $100 and eleven to pass $1,000.
